Pi to Laptop via Ethernet (PuTTY) - Raspberry Pi Forums

hello,
i'm running on raspberry pi 3 b model , think i've set extent can connect through pi via putty , vnc through router/internet connection.

enabled ssh terminal window command " sudo raspi-config". after that, tried connecting pi laptop via ethernet directly i've come across issue of "network error: connection refused".

i'm not sure on issue is, lot of points found led me adding ssh file in case didn't enable properlyhowever can't seem connect putty either. sd img i'm using version 4.9 raspbian stretch desktop.

if using direct connection between pi , laptop, must have dhcp server on 1 of devices, or assign static ips devices. have done that?

can assign static ip on rpi, install , set dnsmasq provide network settings laptop.

missing filename after '-o'
