i have been running ubuntu 9.1 kar on computer month. week ago system locked up, had hard shutdown. happens next day. hard shutdown again , have had long boot time since then. i've been looking around others had long boot time. found use bootchart, installed readout nothing spread out log had seen in other post. lead me believe not same problem don't know how make heads-or-tails of chart. can figuring out got messed , how fix appreciated

either or approximately; how long long time (and how long did take before problem)? personally, cannot read single word of images high zoom level.
