i new ubuntu. have pc 2 drives, c size 37 gb , d size 74 gb.

windows xp installed on c. used d file storage.

have 9.10 on disk , wish install ubuntu on d not dual boot want switch between two.

set-up allow this.

you have funda wrong. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/dualboot
if got right, intend dual boot.you can try wubi http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/wubi select d drive in location want install ubuntu.

missing filename after '-o'
