hallo zusammen beim herumprobieren mit einem einfachen testscript, ist mir aufgefallen, dass sich die zwei serial ports den usb anschlüssen des arduino 0 unterschiedlich verhalten. im setup dieses sketches werden zunächst serial und serialusb mit jeweils 9600 baud gestartet. ebenfalls im setup wird auf beiden schnittstellen eine erste nachricht ausgegeben. in der loop wird dann mit kurzer verzögerung ein fortlaufender zähler auf beiden schnittstellen ausgegeben. schliesse ich den 0 programming port an, funktioniert eigentlich alles wie erwartet. bis ich den serial monitor geöffnet habe, habe ich zwar die nachricht aus dem setup und die ersten paar aus der schlaufe verpasst, da das Öffnen des monitors keinen reset mehr verursacht. ich kann jedoch per reset-button das ganze von vorne beginnen und sehe dann im selben serial monitor fenster alle nachrichten inklusive die aus dem setup. schliesse ich ihn jedoch über den native usb port an, hält die Übertragung bei einem manuelle

hi folks. in middle of trying automatically measure bit patterns of 2 of rotary 10 bit (1024 value) absolute encoders. plan use microstepping move encoder around in fine steps. don't mind how long takes step. plan use software later process logged bit patterns. doesn't matter if consecutive patterns repeat ....since software detect kind of thing. the nema 17 steps , reliably full step, half step....fine usual stuff. 1/16 steps... motor number of steps...such 6 or 8 of them.....then gets weak , nothing number of seconds... weak stepping starts again bit. cuts out again after 6 8 steps....etc. just using 1 step per second , using 20 microsecond high pulse arduino drv8825 motor driver make nema 17 each step. current limiting set 1 amp limit. had 1.6 amp current limit. , using 12v dc toroidal transformer power supply....that can put out adequate current. went 20v well..... no improvement. i've been switching directions of coils well... no improvement yet. anyone got r

hola todos, soy nuevo en ésto de arduino y tengo un proyecto entre manos que usa un lector de rfid convencional, el problema es que quiero ahorrar energía y éste consume más que la propia placa (arduino pro mini 8 mhz) y me gustaría que ese consuma se redujera al minimo exponente. actualmente probado alimentar por 3.3 con una salida que pongo en high cuando quiero que lea, y en low cuando no, pero se ve que coge corriente por alguno de los pines porque aún estando en low tiene energía como para leer (auque desde más cerca, eso sí) y mi idea es que solo lea si pulso un pulsador (éste simplemente cerrará un circuito de alimentación, no tiene misterio) o si surge un evento de alguno de los sensores, que pasa un pin digital de la placa high y éste alimenta al pin de 3.3 del lector. alguno sabe cómo puedo dormir o similar el lector? gracias! hola @eduardoandres. un problema se plantea situándolo para que los demás podamos seguirte.  hablas de consumo de un mód

hi guys, first of have thank you. i'm pretty new arduino , forum has helped me lot. but lets go straight problem. i want measure current , voltage of mobile speaker. voltage measured correcly, current measurement giving me headache. i'm using acs 712 5a current sensor on arduino nano (china clone). measured value fluctuates way application. seems quite common problem, normaly values spread +-2 or something. did testing , best results got +-10. there nothing else hooked arduino. and here of results testing: you can see 4 different measurements packed 1 diagramm (its not important 1 which). bevor wonder why 512 isn't average, pc somehow outputs around 4v on usb port. can't see pattern in values. jump 15 or down, don't change @ all. i tried impact following changes have (and made no difference): -cable length of sensor (20cm , 5cm) -time between 2 measurements (25ms 250ms) -premeasurement (measurment thats not used, 2ms delay, measurement thats used, 25ms del

i'm trying build pwm driver out of arduino. target around 2khz. reading following reference: http://playground.arduino.cc/code/pwmfrequency from numbers given, seems can't near 2khz. 1khz , 4khz (3.9khz) doable pins 2khz not. correct conclusion? you can absolutely 2khz. just take on 1 of timers, yourself, don't try work guy's code. have serious concerns (a lot of code in arduino playground of dubious quality, sad say) anyway, take on timer1, ideally - it's 16-bit have more options. put wgm top value controlled icrn register, , adjust ocrnx registers match intended duty cycle. want 2 khz? okay, 16mhz / 2khz = 8000, want 8000 clock cycles. if set prescaler 1, , icr1 8000, timer1 count 1 8000, , 2000 times per second. if want squarewave, set ocrnx register channel want 4000. the appropriate section of datasheet lays out (if don't think said above makes sense, read section on timer1 in datasheet - should explain things)

i looking simple way 'safely' shut down rpi - without going through sudo poweroff process. can see pulling rpi board in reset shorting reset pins not best way board safe state before cutting power ensure avoid corrupting sd card ? rpi not doing writes sd card other linux doing in background. can relativity rpi able complete start-up processes before being turned off in way, not resetting part way through start-up. have tried quite few times on weekend , seems ok know if have been luck ! if run sudo poweroff pulling reset after 10 blinks on activity led safe. pulling while system in full flow risks corrupting sdcard. controlled power down, power on timer @ wittypi 2 add-on board. raspberrypi

i went rummaging around application support>adobe>color>profiles , found prophoto.icm set read seen in info window in cs2 os 10.3.9. all other profiles in folder set read , write rest of colorsync profiles in system. colorsync utility's profile first aid reports prophoto needs fixing reporting "header white point not d50". of course can't fix because reports locked. is there reason it's locked or repair permission issue? the way me make prophoto read , write drag copy desktop , change in info window. it's grayed out when it's in application support folder. i'm using third party raw converter-(raw developer) prophoto set output space , i'm wondering if permission setting causing randomly crash. i'm doing own database (mysql) updating , having trouble single quotes.  when enter sql update query o'reilly, (in database) "o\'reilly".  unacceptable use database non-joomla applications also.   working before changed magic_quotes_gpc on, dictated installation checklist page.  went , turned magic_quotes_gpc off , used addslashes() manually.  works ok -- on test machine.  i'm worried when move code real server can't turn magic_quotes off, temporary solution not work. has found way around magic_quotes_gpc vs addslashes problem? of course, stripslashes in non-joomla apps, that's lot of work , it's hack, not real solution. tia. pete Board index Joomla! hi everyone, i'm new here , extremely motivated learn arduino.  i'm aspiring computer engineer (haven't started coursework yet).  before getting myself arduino uno, taught myself c programming language has paid big dividends programming aspect of arduino easier part me comprehend.  what's kind of kicking butt actual electrical theory side. right now, i'm learning interfacing analog sensors arduino.  such, concept of voltage dividers has arisen.  understand v.d. formula, know how derived, , can calculate resulting output voltage change in r1 or r2. what don't understand 'why'.  why need 'extra' resistor v.d.? i know arduino perceive changes sensor through varying voltages.  v.d. provides this. however, know analog sensor (photoresistor in case) vary resistance depending on how light received.  if the resistance varies, won't resulting voltage vary without need of 'extra' resistor in v.d.? i've hooked led's arduino , h

i installed linux , wondering if theres anyway can windows xp on. dont have xp disc anymore. , when computer starts shows linux under linux recovery mode , linux , recovery , theres 9 of them, , there same. no windows xp how did install linux (ubuntu...?)? did dual boot or use disc?
