Thread: XPPro/Ubuntu dual boot install fails

just tried install ubuntu 9.10 alongside windows xp pro. re-partitioning , installation appeared run when try re-boot black screen message:

grub loading.
error: no such partition
grub rescue > (blinking cursor)

can boot neither ubuntu nor windows xp.

can tell me go here ?

boot ubuntu cd, try ubuntu option.
download script signature, move on desktop example, , run in terminal with:
sudo bash ~/desktop/boot_info_script*.sh

create results.txt file. copy content here , wrap in code tags (with text selected hit # button in toolbar above).

missing filename after '-o'
