Having used Distort crashes CS4 when trying to open additional files

i have strange problem i've started experiencing since upgrading pc. running cs4 , lightroom 2 without problems on windows xp pro 32 bit - upgraded new hardware , windows vista 64 bit use more ram regularly receiving running out of ram messages when working on large print resolution files.

my current setup is:

p6t motherboard
intel core i7 cpu 2.67 ghz
12 gb ram
windows vista ultimate 64 bit
nvidia geforce 880 gts video card
one entire physical disk (70 gbs) solely scratch disk
more half of c drive free
other disks free space in scratch disk list

i have narrowed down specific activity:

1) lightroom choose 'edit in photoshop' (a raw file) open more 1 file @ point, no problem yet
2) once file or files opened choose implement distort/twirl (i have specific reason using command, developing elements other creative works)
3) having performed twirl distortion, choose open raw file lightroom, choose edit in photoshop - photoshop hangs, without opening file , see message has stopped responding. have forcibly end photoshop , reopen
4) still occurs if lightroom, choose 'show in explorer' , try open raw file itself, photoshop stops responding

i seem performance on other things i've tried. example, choosing 22 files varying focal lengths merge panorama in photoshop - goes without hitch.... again seems linked having performed distort effect. tried distort/wave , same occurred, stopped responding when trying open file.

have deleted prefs files, reinstalled lightroom etc, turned off open gl, twiddled cache , ram levels, turned off export clipboard etc... still same.

any ideas?
can replicate this?

by way, have latest video card drivers, , windows vista service pack 1...

Using phone battery to power a plane.

hello, i'm trying mount arduino on falcon rc plane fly using cellphone (via bluetooth), problem haven't got original battery i'm trying find light-weight 1 use it. i've tested mc power lab 3003 , works @ maximum speed 5.0v , 3.11a. the plane has 2 dc motors, no flaps, no slats. turn speeds 1 of them depending on side go to. my actual question if can use nokia lumia 605 battery power motors. have tested half-charged 1 of motors, worked (the 4 seconds tested it). will burn, explode, heat or suitable? its characteristics are: nokia bl-5h 1839mah 3.7v 6.8wh li-ion and question, use arduino motor shield (designed 2dc motors, 2 servos , 1 stepper) handle plane's motors? thanks in advance. you need ask question on model airplane forum. it usual model airplanes draw huge current batteries keep down battery weight. if at, example, hobby king website see lipo batteries have c rating - such 15c or 20c. means can safely deliver current equal 15 (o...
