IE and graphics...

hello, had trouble png graphic emulation on ie rebuilt graphics in photoshop , saved them gifs. when large emulate wonderfully, when smaller size come out pixelated. also, layer effects (bevel , outer glow) come out pixelated in ie. no other browser problem :(
suggestions?
