Asset management and temperature logging

hi all, need little guidance on designing solution.

problem: deep freezer manufacturing , ice cream distribution company requires solution manage it's freezers spread across whole country (on retailer shops). 3 requirements there:

1. real-time location of deep freezers on cloud server.
2. replace barcodes placed on dfs other thing sales team (order takers retail shops) not have use barcode scanners identify deep freezer. instead want smartphone based solution.
3. log temperature of deep freezers , on cloud server.

each deep freezer's id, location , temperature log should available real-time on cloud server. question is, sort of sensors/controllers should used? how transmit data df on broadband? how establish communication between df , sales person's smartphone?

any equipment can installed within df during it's manufacture.

thanking in anticipation , looking forward nice discussions on possible approaches.

what mean "deep freezers"? these trucks travelling around, or stationary machinery?

let's split task pieces. 1 piece data base on cloud server.
dunno current internet access technology - gsm? have take deat zones account?
the id configured every item - ip address?
position can obtained gps module.
temperature logging should not special problem. i'd add high-temperature alerts regular log.

protocols have specified, updating data base deep freezers, , retrieving information on smartphone.
