Photoshop CS Won't Open

i have photoshop cs , have been using long time on computer - , has been fine. i'm trying open - , won't open. initialization takes forever (it long - long) , message application not responding.

there nothing new computer - no new hardware or software. , else runs fine.

i'm going through procedure see if have virus or other kind of malware - i'm wondering if has had similar experience - , if so, solution was.

have tried trashing prefs maybe corrupt.

if don't know how covered in faqs.
