Thread: How to install JDK 1.6 and MySQL 5.1 in Ubuntu without internet connection.


hi,
new user of ubuntu.i using ubuntu 8.04 lts server edition.i want install jdk 1.6 , mysql 5.1 server in system.i dont have internet connection in same system.so cant use apt-get or aptitude commands.but can download necessary installation files(or packages ?) using system(which having internet connection),and copy files ubuntu system.
please give detailed explanation , correct links downloading necessary installation files.
downloaded packages(.deb files) mysql , tried install using "dpkg -i" commands,but getting dependency error messages.how can necessary package files can avoid dependency issues during installation ? please help...

if go use computer, select packages need in synaptic , install it. when synaptic says packages installed, write down or copie it.

install packages , copie installed packages* /var/cache/apt/archives folder can easy find in other computer.

go in synaptic on other computer file-> add downloaded packages , select folder placed packages in.

than, select same packages selected in synaptic on first computer , install it.

should it.

*(you can easy find new packages if sort them date)
