Photoshop 5.5 will not install

hd suffered glitch. replaced new hd , reinstalled programs original cd , diskettes.
all programs installed except photoshop 5.5. when cd inserted auto run screen comes on , when clicking in install photoshop 5.5 cd turns not install. install other programs (quicktime 3.0 , post script 5.1, adobe acrobat reader 4.0)on cd. os win xp pro sp3. cpu amd athlone xp.
this old photoshop 5.5 enough needs. how can install. appreciated.

try copy photoshop folder hdd , install there.

also temporarily disabling security software before installing ps may help.
