Thread: TVTime: No XVIDEO port found which supports YUY2 images.

hello all. i've been using tvtime quite time in old computer. upgraded newer computer , installed tv tuner card before installing koala 9.10. unfortunately, tvtime not work now.

computer dell optiplex 270 onboard video - intel extreme.

lspci shows:
vga compatible controller: intel corporation 82865g integrated graphics controller (rev 02)
multimedia video controller: brooktree corporation bt878 video capture (rev 11)

error message tvtime:

running tvtime 1.0.2.
reading configuration /etc/tvtime/tvtime.xml
reading configuration /home/oem/.tvtime/tvtime.xml
xvoutput: no xvideo port found supports yuy2 images.

should now?

thanks~

well, in place of tvtime, tried zapping. crashed segmentation fault when tried change setting. tried mythtv, 1 can't scan channels??? - have read bug ubuntu 9.10 - if knows how work, please let me know.

quick 'n easy solution me switch xawtv. got working right away, @ first not sound work properly. had open alsamixer in terminal , raise line volume.

catch xawtv there bunch of settings need set in config file, , have no idea how that. man pages, linux documentation have come across, expect reader know how things. now, @ least can watch tv @ desired volume.
