ESP8266-Based Serial WiFi Shield

hello,

i new iot , arduino , exploring project.

background:
i using arduino uno board along esp8266-based serial wifi shield. able transfer simple "high" laptop , other way round. communicating default ip - 192.168.4.1

requirement:
i need multiple arduino boards on 1 lan (single network) can communicate each other. wondering how boards including laptop connect on same network. connect "doitwifi_config"? if yes ip address of each of device?

can please suggest correct approach?
