Thread: wi-fi disabled Please help

hi!
have problem wi-fi connectivity on sony vaio laptop,i using 9.04 jj.i installed 9.04 using cd , after wi-fi worked fine after while prompted o update update manager.after reboot wi-fi connection seems broken.i donot understand why happened.i browsed through replies posted b many members in networking , wireless fora no avail.i following information when issue following command.
lspci -v | grep -i network03:00.0 network controller: atheros communications inc. ar928x wireless network adapter (pci-express) (rev 01)

iwconfig gives following information

lo no wireless extensions.

eth0 no wireless extensions.

wmaster0 no wireless extensions.

wlan0 ieee 802.11bgn essid:""

pan0 no wireless extensions.
ppp0 no wireless extensions.

network manager doesnot show signal , pppoeconf not locate wlan access concentrator....
please me out.
