Basic question about NR filter

very basic question (perhaps oversimplified) interface of noise reduction filter.

does know definitively whether first "strength" slider master control filter overall (i.e. controls power of other sliders below it), or whether affects individual parameter (such might perceived luminosity-based noise, rather color noise)?

in other words, if strength set zero, reduce color noise set 100%, color noise reduction become 0 or 100%?

neither menu nor 3 of aftermarket books have definitively addresses this. there further redundancies regarding "strength" slider when advanced mode turned on: instance, if strength on "front" panel set 0, 9 on individual channel panels, effective strength?

missing filename after '-o'
