.NEF issues with CS3

hi,

i run cs3 suite, , have never had problems using .nef files nikon d40x produces, right until built new pc. running 32bit version of xp, running vista home premium 64bit. have installed camera raw 5.2, , adobe bridge recognise .nef files, when try open them in cs3 following error message: "could not complete request because not right kind of document"

any ideas?

acr 5.2 made cs4, , not work in cs3. have use cs3 acr.

may have delete previous version, if not automatically, 1 allowed in directory.

missing filename after '-o'
