Thread: elp with D-Link DWL-G520+ PCI wireless adapter isn't recognized in Ubuntu 9.10


hi,
i'm trying wireless pci card work in ubuntu 9.10 (32 bit) ~with wpa (personal) encryption,i think ubuntu better windoze , extremely migrate on 9.10.
use wireless before 9.1 , cant seem work after update(same else).

info card:
company: d-link
model: dwl-g520+
chipset: ti
*driver: acx1xx

*-i'm pretty sure uses acx111 not sure

right i'm on windows xp pro hard drive , card works fine (as majority). i've tried many guides on how working, i've never gotten dwl-g520+ work.
(note: have temp wired connection in
ubuntu, not stick)

according this wiki:
from feisty onwards, networkmanager included in main distribution. since acx driver cannot interface correctly it, networkmanager might have disabled. see instructions on how disable in feisty section of document.
please see more details in linked wiki, , post if require more specific assistance.

note wiki not seem "current"; please document commands , experiences, in case need undo changes make.

if rather not go down path, can consider using it's windows driver ndiswrapper; post if want details on this.
