How do I fade the edges of an object?
photoshop cs3 on leopard:
there's got quick way this...i've never figured out how.
i've searched 'fade' i"m guessing i'm using wrong search term.
i'm trying take image or layer , 'fade' edges, layer behind shows through varying degree - combination of opacity & gradiation applied outer edge.
if i'm not clear: example, take 100 pixel solid black square (layer) on transparent background. i'd apply graduating degree of opacity edges proportionately (all 4 edges). 0% opacity @ outermost edges - 100% in 20 pixel 'border'.
how this?
thanks,
j.p.
