Need an oscilloscope for steppers

hi all,

i've worked in several projects (some in progress abandoned), , i'm in need of proper debugging tool oscilloscope. these kind of projects work on:

- reutilizing stepper driver complex laboratory machine. given rare chance scrap motors, rails, sensors awesome japanese machine. (http://www.fameco.eu/uploads/blog/fameco-roche-elecsys-2010.jpg) (in progress)

- home automation: ir wifi bridge controlling a/c units (esp8266 + emitter diode). (in progress-halted)

- ha: remote mqtt relay controlling sockets , stuff @ home. (prototype ready)

- small cnc machine print pcbs (in progress)

- general stepper motor logic , power logic boards.

as far know, usb oscilloscope handles +-20v not useful steppers (variable voltage, constant current). own bus pirate, not useful decoding ir signals.

i wanted picoscope (~£200), how handle more 20v 1 of these? should portable handheld scope instead?

thanks help

hi,
good oscilloscopes use probes/cables plug oscilloscope itself.

many different probes available. see  this:

and  this: start with.

for signals stepper drivers have lots of current capability, can make own voltage divider 2 resistors , connect regular probe that.  have done @ output signals 5000 watt broadcast transmitters, example.
