problems with opening Canon 1ds III .CR2 files in CS 3

i have purchased photoshop cs3 student edition. however, when try open .cr2 files canon 1ds iii, message stating photoshop "could not complete request not right kind of document" appears. whilst can round saving dpp (which not allow me transfer .cr2 files directly photoshop) tiff, quite slow.

has experienced similar problem? on finding cure appreciated.

make sure you've got latest version of camera raw. package have compiled before mk3 out.
