Thread: Alternate CD not booting

i'm trying install ubuntu 9.10 64 bit alternate cd, want set raid on system before installation. system, however, seems unable install cd. i've tried both physical cd , live usb ubuntu live usb creator, , problem identical both, in gets options screen, , if press install (or indeed check cd defects), screen goes , replaced cursor @ top left of screen, , nothing else. behavior continues indefinitely. i'm downloading cd mirror now, wondering if there's else might causing this, , ways round it.

it sounds image corrupted during download. alternate cd in text installer , doesn't need correct video drivers, etc. shouldn't say.
check if new download better.

missing filename after '-o'
