Raw to JPG conversion

i use cs3, 3gb of ram , more 50mb of free hard disk space.

when convert raw image jpg file size reduced opened in cs3 image size appears unchanged. correlation between image , file size? thought image size horizontal number of pixels x vertical. if correct , jpg has less pixels how can cs3 show having same image size?
in addition use of image size other indicate print size @ given resolution?

well seeing in explorer compressed size of jpg, in photoshop seeing uncompressed size.

missing filename after '-o'
