Thread: Samba+ACL+Active Directory

i inherited ubuntu server 6.10 file server setup authenticate windows active directory. part works "ok". need grant read/write permissions specific people on folders. problem domain users group gets read access. if remove it comes back. have idea being caused person being in domain users group , therefore cascading permission flags how. here scenerio , bet common have had no real luck tracking down answer in billions of various opinions on internet.

scenerio:
- company share
- management folder
- personnelreviews folder
- dept_1
- dept_2
- etc.


need executive group have full control entire management structure. , manager of department have full control on his/her specific department folder under personnelreviews.

users , groups ad user/groups.

know somehow possible life of me cannot seem make work.

i'm still rather new ubuntu server i've been using webmin administer it. there tons of options under samba haven't browsed yet. perhaps can give try , see if looking do.

missing filename after '-o'
