Thread: Ubuntu 8.04 installation thinks its running the latest version of Ubuntu

ok, trying update friend's ubuntu installation here..

in update manager, there's no button upgrade distribution.

when run, sudo do-release-upgrade

says "no new release found".

when run sudo update-manager -c

there's no button upgrade distribution again.

else there try upgrade ubuntu 8.04 installation 9.10?

don't it!

backup important stuff , clean install. you'll hit world of pain if upgrade, 8.04 9.10!

seriously, there ways, wouldn't advise it!

missing filename after '-o'
