Sense Hat Gyro Accuracy - Raspberry Pi Forums


hi!

i'm working on project needing 4 gpio ports, 4 ground , need gyro.

i'm going need decent amount of accuracy gyro found added features on sense hat bonus decided go it.

know how accurate hat gyroscope is? numbers given mean nothing me.

also, research has led me believe hat uses 6 gpio pins leave me plenty motors, how go using these?

help. looking answers know whether unbox , use new sense hat or send , buy more accirate gyro.

ok have first understand gyroscope does. reads rate of angular turn (how fast sensor spinning) if after direction ur facing obtained measuring rate turn multiply time turning. perfect if rate of turn constant in real life things r accelerating angular rate of turn changing read angular rate @ short time intervals (the shorter time more accuracy) @ high rates of 2000/sec still have error , on time error keeps adding become bigger error , refereed gyro drift. if want know facing have use known obsolete orientation achieved using multi sensors (all of have errors) having a fusion filter takes account sensors calculate obsolete orientation, best filter madgwick check out video http://x-io.co.uk/open-source-imu-and-ahrs-algorithms/

there 1 chip know has fusion filter on-board (although lower performing fusion filter) bno05 made bosh, here adafruits breakout board bno05 https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-bno ... r/overview

need gpio expansion board able use gpio pind while sense hat connected gpio pins
