Thread: touchfreeze or related tool for vanilla jaunty PanP5?

apologies if faq, found nothing searching topic:

there 'touchfreeze', or way tune 'touchfreeze', work vanilla panp5? why ask:

have panp5 received in late september, started using week, take notes @ conference. (my fall-semester project required windows-only software (arcgis), i've been using old dual-booted thinkpad.) still has installed ubuntu (9.04) , window manager (but up-to-date patch-wise), nothing installed.

encountered crippling problem: cursor jumping on during notetaking, window other 1 had been typing in. noted cursor appeared jump mouse's current location, googled that. saw touchfreeze recommended , tried use that, apparently had no effect (although did start process , install control in tray), , did not end cursor jumping.

per post tom aaron, went system>preferences>mouse , turned off "enable mouse clicks touchpad", seems have solved problem. (i turned on "show position of pointer when control key pressed", assume had no effect on matter.) that, advertised, totally disables touchpad. prefer have touchpad disabled while i'm typing, configurable restore delay, touchfreeze. there way can that?

i think fn-f1 on panp5.
