hi, im adding new hdd using tutorial - https://help.ubuntu.com/community/in...ganewharddrive

seems well, seems.

drive sdc used that, fine.

when came using this line in tutorial:

sudo mkfs -t ext3 /dev/sdc1
i dont it. used:

sudo mkfs -t ext3 /dev/sdc
because have no idea '1' comes from.

gave me warning using whole device. when went

sudo lshw -c disk
again, there still no '1' showing on it. can please tell me relevance of '1' , can type in see labelled that. should again , use '1'?

the 1 first partition on drive believe. yes use 1.

missing filename after '-o'
