Automatic adjusting FPV receiver antenna


hello,

the project i'm trying realise automatic adjustment system patch antenna fpv drone.

there similar systems working gps tracking of drone, work need (expensive) gps module realise that.

so idea based on ndb communication using fpv transmitting waves adjust loop antenna adf does. here transmitter moving 1 , receiver on groundstation.

now comes tricky part:
the ndb works through mf anf lf, transmitter sends in uhf (5.8ghz). placing second ndb transmitter on drone not option due long antenna system has be.
the thing uhf antenna has short , don't know how realise making loopantannae receive proper signal transmitter.

is there chance make work uhf?
could high resolution achieved?

the big advantege see doing uhf faster setting time, can imagine there complications adjusting and/or receiving through loop antennae.

is posible build such antenna?

since i've never seen type of direction finding other in ndb's don't know if works higher frequencies.

the higher frequencies blocked smaller objects. reflect off pretty anything. fills in 'holes' behind objects. directional antenna see reflections coming everywhere.

look closer @ commercial systems. if find 1 doesn't use gps, concept practical , can see kind of antenna using. if there isn't one, suggests df isn't practical @ frequency. nothing's impossible, might take several thousand dollars worth of antenna , signal processing it.
