Problem with Search Engine Friendly URLs - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

my first post, , have looked far , wide see if can resolve issue , no joy, here am.

i working on 1.5 rc1 installation under wamp running on http://localhost legacy mode turned on support template i'm using. have never installed or used joomla 1.0

i want switch on search engine friendly urls , have followed instructions have found elsewhere. have ticked boxes in global configuration, renamed .htaccess file, , followed every other suggestion have seen, no avail.

my new urls coming in form:
http://localhost/about-us/meet-the-team/33?layout=blog
where 33 article id, , other stuff corresponds aliases used in menu.

now, however, whatever link click on 404 error:

404 - page not found

you may not able visit page because of:

  1. out-of-date bookmark/favourite
  2. search engine has out-of-date listing site
  3. mis-typed address
  4. have no access page
  5. requested resource not found

please try 1 of following pages:

    * home page

article #33 not found

(the article number corresponds article number in url.)

please me! going mad this. have tried everything. if untick 1 or other of sef options in global configuration still same error, if untick both of them site goes working again (just without sef urls.)

does localhost cache htaccess file? ran problem godaddy , waited 20 minutes , worked. since running locally info may not of help.

First use of Arduino Uno : avrdude error on Blink uploading

hi all, i bought arduino (or should genuino) starter kit. first test , failing. i have follow religiously first pages , when trying upload blink sketch, uploading fails avrdude error : avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer not responding. as suggested in other posts, have tried 1) switch latest hourly build of arduino ide 2) switch previous stable version of arduino ide (1.6.09) 3) change usb cable 1 know working fine 4) make same steps on computer (unfortunatelly, of them macos running on macos 10.11.6, not interesting test) 5) press reset before upload, interesting thing : tx led never flashes the full log attached. idea of why happening ? to save people having download log, it's sync error, resp=0x00 every time: code: [select] avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer not responding avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x00 avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer not responding and he's running 1.6.11 hourly avrdude 6.0.1. ...
