i'm having trouble getting ubuntu machine mysql server. necessary activate package work? downloaded binary mysql site having trouble getting work.

when tried activate package, ubuntu wanted me put original ubuntu disk in diskdrive impossible because installed web download. ideas?

check /etc/apt/sources.lst , sure comment (#) out cd.
then:

sudo apt-get install mysql-server mysql-client
