Curves adjustment Bug

i have ps 6.0.1. yes know old version require have no need upgrade.

one of main function use adjusting curves. have noticed when open jpg , select adjustment/curves. photoshop automatically selects eyedropper tool , curves window not displayed. when attempt windows error bell/noise. way can carry on selecting escape on keyboard.

this happens if attempt add curves adjustment layer. eyedropper tool becomes selected , no curve adjustment window displayed.

i couldn't find on google issue. curves adjustments worked fine me , ive tried several different rgb images. tried resetting tools.

has got ideas causing this.

missing filename after '-o'
