Super Helmet - Raspberry Pi Forums


i want create helmet looks sci fi helmet (mass effect, titanfall, halo, etc.) , that;

**want make cool helmet, need having multiple camera feed output multiple screens**


* protects head (able decrease force impact significant degree)

* can filter air breath (does not need super extreme filter, filter out general junk, better filter more pleased am, if becomes bulky/expensive unnecessary)(optional/most likely)

* has hud vitals on it. wear sensors, such hr monitor have cool biofeedback, maybe include other information.(option)

* maybe have digital display there cameras on front , maye of helmet displayed on interior screen, have voice commands setup different things.

* have helmet sound proof possible , have microphones ears be, inside helmet speakers, can modify noise around me how want be.

understand rather difficult (at least including of bullets) , touch silly. yet, find rather intriguing pursuit , think contribute becoming cyborg. tips appreciated don't know start this. can imagine lot of work might done on arduino, don't know feasibility of modifying noises of world around , having cameras on helmet.

how should this? i’ve been suggested video-goggles. plan on using raspberry computing system (might need multiple) modulate output cameras. how make multiple camera outputs lay onto multiple screens looks @ 3 5 inches eyes? how can make raspberry pi control phone , computer via voice, or @ least change screens properties?

forget bullet proof, military cannot (yet)
heavy head carry, need attach suit, hence 360 camera/hud needed

$12 enough 12mm eva foam make helmet, biggest issue pattern.
0 experience made stig helmet kid in weekend, few hours if had pattern next time.
else on list can or has been done, except working suit, in movies.

bluetooth fitbit stuff body sensors.
smart can blood oxygen levels, heart rate easy now.
some/most of these sensors i2c can connect pi's.
bio feedback can done heartrate , heart rate variability , skin resistance.
wild divine teach this, 1 of first personal units.
add stereo audio brain entrainment , can calm , collected in weeks , not years sitting on mountain top :lol:

intend use ultibo doing sensor , audio software, down on list, pik33 in few weeks 8-)


hud tricky , can $$$$. screen resolution issues pi displays.
few 0 w's , samsung /iphone + google cardboard display?
2 tiny lcds 320x240 diy version , ie adafruit spi tft displays.
waiting 2" 640 x 480 or higher oled or laser direct eyeball.or si-oled hdmi in or.....
reducing latency, go analog solution perhaps digital overlay?
digital solution possible vr can still make people sick due latency effect.

adam savage (tested) tell cosplay suits hot need aircon or ice packs.
sealed suit needs aircon , hence big power supply, check how astronaut suits work.
not talking long battery life , there no ironman arc reactor :(

best power supply - current technology hybrid gas turbine , ion type battery( lithium/sodium/graphene).
wrightspeed have gabbage truck sized solution, smaller. :d
when can make fist sized double or triple shaft gas turbine recuperation , air/gas bearings, might close backpack solution.
3d printed metal/ceramic turbines , compressors getting small (thumb nail) talking 1million rpm :shock:

audio pi need i2s audio dsp codecs, off shelf it?
noise canceling headphones cheap in dsp audio land, serious maths grunt in tiny chip.

padding - yes- conehead foam etc , inertial dampening - in sifi books - doc e.e smith

maybe 1 day (a few decades?) million layer graphene armour not weight inbuilt muscles , power storage?
