Thread: multiple IPs single hostname in /etc/hosts

perhaps silly q but, correct, please, have hostname contradictions this? in /etc/hosts file ...

12.34.56.1 hostname
12.34.56.2 hostname

..there localhost , ipv6 entries in there too.

have consequences with, say, using box openvpn svr (about set up).

seems me thing couldn't do, "ssh bloke@hostname" somewhere else, using ip instead no big deal.

network tests fine. far.

1 ip eth0, other ra0. er, guess don't need both though. delete 1 maybe?

machine 9.10 64bit desktop.
