CS4 Gripes

i've gone straight cs(1) 4, of gripes may
just related changes i've missed, however...

1. tool tips stop working randomly. rebooting or restarting ps
does not fix this. happens after
application has been sitting unused few minutes ,
while i'm not using other programs.

2. icons in windows os file dialog box come black,
also randomly.

3. soft proofing file non-default profile ,
closing file there no others open resets
the default profile choice. 1 used have pick
default no files open become default.
even stupid way it. what's wrong
explicit "set default profile" button in dialog box?

4. clicking on adjustment layer opens dialog box
for tool whether wanted or not. dismissing
the panel putting of group stops
this behavior (for awhile). dialog box should appear
when explicitly summoned, double clicking on
layer.

5. new adjustment layer panel unneeded. can select
the tool needed setting keyboard shortcut or off
menu. don't need see tools i'll never use , long
list of irrelevant defaults.

6. management of floating vs tabbed windows clumsy.
all of these should controlled via hot keys, ,
there should options arranging floating windows in
several styles (horizontal, vertical, etc). tabbed windows
don't make drag , drop between files simple.

7. there many secret spots need clicked
on. example in layer 1 can click on layer icon,
the name, mask icon or blank space , there
are variations of clicks key. poor design
all options available person should visible on
screen.

8. invoking layer adjustment tool should not create
the actual layer until 1 has accepted adjustments.
sometimes want experiment , see things
will like. under new scheme have explicitly
delete layer instead of accepting it.
a bad interface design, changes should have
accepted explicitly, not happen. same goes
altering values in adjustment layer.

updated latest video drivers? should 1st thing do.

First use of Arduino Uno : avrdude error on Blink uploading

hi all, i bought arduino (or should genuino) starter kit. first test , failing. i have follow religiously first pages , when trying upload blink sketch, uploading fails avrdude error : avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer not responding. as suggested in other posts, have tried 1) switch latest hourly build of arduino ide 2) switch previous stable version of arduino ide (1.6.09) 3) change usb cable 1 know working fine 4) make same steps on computer (unfortunatelly, of them macos running on macos 10.11.6, not interesting test) 5) press reset before upload, interesting thing : tx led never flashes the full log attached. idea of why happening ? to save people having download log, it's sync error, resp=0x00 every time: code: [select] avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer not responding avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x00 avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer not responding and he's running 1.6.11 hourly avrdude 6.0.1. ...
