Tracking data in the photos
hey all!
i trying find solution problem , don't have enough knowledge scripting in photoshop, let me explain looking do.
scenario:
1. find stock images (let's x , y) on internet. save them in folder.
2. use saved stock images in ad or design element in design piece. save out document file (let's z).
here trying accomplish:
1. automatically read metadata or xmp data (or tag file custom data on load) images x , y.
2. when x , y used in design , saved out in z, want able open z , read tagged data , able identify data x , y in z.
in simple words trying is, when use multiple image sources in design piece, want able open final design file , track source files used, can go archive , find them without wasting time hunting through multiple folders , hard drives.
any or alternate solutions/suggestions welcome , appreciated.
thanks,
ritz

well, once ready release time next year (hopefully), gridiron flow kind of tracking automatically (check out sample vids on http://www.gridironsoftware.com). until think perhaps find ways custom xmp fields via bridge, i've never touched ps/ bridgetalk scripting myself, either, i'm of no use in matter. imagine, though, possible opening files via script, not normal file dialog, better ask again in scripting forum.
