Color questions

i wondering if knows best way change color or item. example if have picture of blue shirt , need change red. have tried color replacement tool instead of turning color color select (red), changes lighter shade of selection (pinkish)

help! appreciate ideas.

there number of ways this. 1 of favorites
image>adjust>hue saturation. select ant color drop-down menu ,
then click eyedropper on item color want change.
move hue slider around.

this first method job done you.
fine tune edges adjusting sliders @ bottom of window.
if want preserve colors, in adjustment layer, ,
paint mask black want keep old appearance.

there way i'll mention. little trickier,
but more flexible. involves converting image lab mode, duping
a new layer, , using curves. move lightness, a, , b curves
the desired color, using layer's blend-if sliders limit
color change areas want. allows use brightness,
as hue, control effect, plus can use layer masks if
necessary.

missing filename after '-o'
