??? totally stumped.
i have several joomla sites running version 1.0.12. 1 sends  contact form emails.  configured same. 

the 1 not work: 
- user can fill in form, when 'send' button pressed, not come 'usual' message on top of form says 'thank email'.
- also, 'email copy of message own address' not send copy.  message disappears.

server
all sites hosted @ 3rd party remote hosting (rochen , webserve.ca).  1 not working 1 of 3 hosted @ webserve.ca.

extensions
using sef advance version: 5.0.4  http://www.sakic.net/

i have reinstalled related joomla! contact component code.

what missing?
how can determine if joomla code problem or server related problem?
should upgrade joomla 1.0.13?

any suggestions appreciated!

i posted reply else having similar problem, because spent half of today figuring out why form mailer wasn't working, while 2 other of sites configured same way (i thought) working fine.

this turned out solution in case:

i discovered 1 inconsistancy on affected site, have 301 redirect "...mydomain.com" "www.mydomain.com" defined within .htaccess file,  yet had forgoten change value of "livesite=..." in configuration.php file. double checked , confirmed, on other 2 sites work fine, did indeed update "livesite" value www version of url (and can see current value in backend, under "global configuration/server..."

as made revision within configuration.php, , re-uploaded root, did quick test , discovered problem solved.

missing filename after '-o'
