How can I draw an arrow?

while i'm no expert, i've been using photoshop long time, can't figure out how seems basic.
i want draw arrow.
i'm trying point few things in photograph , want draw small arrows @ different angles.

how do that?
every tool i've tried, , every way i've tried it, comes out looking awful.
