Simple Arduino Foot controller

i'm making little 8 switch controller. want output keyboard commands, , have switch toggle between 2 different output banks.

it looked 32u4 boards best purpose. this board looking at.

i'm complete newbie, , i'm not sure kind of little white pinout board i'll need hook it. also, there specific gauge wire want wire well? switches, ripped apart mechanical keyboard.

is there better board purpose? need board or should solder holes?

lots of questions, hope they're simple , help.

i think mean solderless bread board. if permanent project advise against , suggest solder on strip board. includes soldering board. use 26swg wire there nothing carrying significant current use like.

missing filename after '-o'
