Gradient as TIFF file

hi all,

i opening new things all, not expert in photoshop, throwing question reg. tiff format, need know possible it.

we need store pantone color information in tiff format, possible in eps format. have tried creating box gradient , done "saveas" tiff format, found pantone color information converted cmyk, instead of pantone.
------

please advice, how tackle issue.

tiff supports spot channels doesn't support duotone. must select
spot colors option when saving.

why tiff? many applications won't support information anyway.
save psd instead.

missing filename after '-o'
