Photoshop CS3 crashes on File Open (related to Version Cue)

hi all,
i found threads on ps crashing on file opening, none of these describing issue, nor suggested fixes working.

here happens:
ps opens fine. can open file in ps if open bridge (or explorer). if select 'file > open' in ps menu however, open file dialog attempts open, hangs , that's it. can not escape out of it, , if click close in system tray says ps 'not responding' , sends error message microsoft.

this fixes it:
in 'preferences' - if disable version cue, photoshop works again. thing is, need use version cue!

anybody else have issue? ideas fixes???

missing filename after '-o'
