storing program code in mega

hi,

everytime turn off computer arduino code disappears have upload via ide everytime want use it. how permanantly store program have written mega.
i using midi controller via usb daw computer want work without having open ide , upload everytime...i know bootloader cant seem find easy understand tutorial..
any appreciated.

when upload sketch, code programmed flash memory, , stays there.
perhaps broken.
is official arduino mega 2560 board ? give link board or make photo of ?

when uploading sketch, arduino board reset. happens if press reset of arduino board ?
do connect arduino board after computer has started ?
could try simple sketch, example blinking led @ pin 13, or sending serial monitor ? test if run again, after computer turned off.

try better usb cable, perhaps voltage arduino board low.

missing filename after '-o'
