Thread: create partition for database

i'm new linux user.
have installed mysql on ubuntu 9.10 desktop version, wish create new partition put own database on it, how can it? please help.

you can use gparted (or partition editor) create new partition, it's in repositories , included on livecd. have ask... why want separate partition database?

missing filename after '-o'
