What is a Profile Mismatch and why does it always show up?

every time open file prompt reads: embedded profile mismatch.
embedded: camera rgb profile
working: adobe rgb (1998)
i choose default, "embedded profile (instead of working space).
i have no idea of means. know started doing after chose recommended in photoshop book.
can please show me how rid of prompt , point me in direction of information me choose best profile?

there many named "color spaces" in work in photoshop. have chosen adobe rgb (1998). chose color space in photoshop cs under "color settings."
that's "general purpose" color space use. it's useful workers preparing images intended color reproduction in print (on printing press). it'll use have images. if images destined web, working in srgb might good. (i recommend staying in adobe rgb 1998)
