hello installed , have problem talbetem wacom bamboo ...
downloaded drivers , installation of message pops up:
code:
mab@mab-laptop:~/desktop/linuxwacom-0.8.4-4$ sudo ./configure && make
the ./configure , make not require sudo privileges. reason error because did configure using sudo prevented make access makefile.

however, have fun , touch version version of linuxwacom not support device. have created working version @ post:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1321238

hope helps.
