PShop CS2 (Not responding) after installing

i have reinstalled adobe photoshop cs2. appears install okay. when start appears start okay, splash screen appears , goes through start up, disappears , normal working page appears, click on menu,tool etc. goes blank top left corner of working page showing adobe photoshop (not responding). tried "repair" unistaller, no joy.

i working on dell dimension 9150 running xp pro sp3. av avg , firewall comodo. have never been able pshop working on computer, don't think pshop problem. have stacks of disk space, , 2gb ram.

presume have solved if not, uninstall ps2 ( unistalled other versions had ps5, etc), re-install, install 9.02 update.

 

did accessed cs2 - no probem.

think may multi-processor problem.
