Printing problems with CS3- Prints dont match what is on screen


my prints dont match seeing on screen when using cs3. using windows xp , printing on epson 7800. never had problem before started using cs3. have calibrated monitor.

i have standard version of cs3 not extended.
i read arctical cs3 prints darker on screen. solution if have cs3 extended increase lightness before printing, if dont have extended version, do?

i couldnt find topic on forum here. sure others must have had problem too. solution?

what papers using? how has screen been calibrated? luminance? using custom profiles? ambient lighting? viewing lighting?

all of factors affect how closely prints match screen. of course, you'll never match exactly, should able come close perceptually.

this 1 of biggest complaints ps users , it's have spend time of variables under control. once , understand of them, easy.

just glad you're not using cs4 on leopard on mac, print differently cs3 when printing through epson driver, , @ point, there no other option print through rip or use cs3.
