Thread: I cannot install Ubuntu 9.10 on my eMachine T5020


hello,

i'm sorry if posted somewhere i've been able find hasn't resolved issue.

here's i've got:

emachine t5020
intel pentium 4 processor 519
160gb sata hdd
1gb ram
dvd r/w

when start pc ubuntu 9.10 disk in cd rom kicks off ubuntu installation. select "english" , "install ubuntu".

@ point black screen white circle & dots quite time before times out , following:

(initramfs) unable find medium containing live file system

have tried dvd rom, hdd neither resolved. replaced video card another, did not resolve.

have tried booting usb , "boot error" when boot usb. have used unetbootin program create usb image 3-4 times. did not work either.

have idea(s) can ubuntu installed?

appreciated!

instead of installing, go down 'check disk errors' (or similar.) make sure disk , burn/download good.
