Thread: installing legacy software - Tcl7.6/Tk4.2

i'm trying install handwriting recognition software on karmic koala laptop wacom bamboo fun tablet.

here description of software i'm trying install:
uptools3 latest version --- dated februari 1997 --- of set of programs viewing, editing, , transforming unipen files. unipen de facto standard on-line handwriting data.
uptools3 available @ http://hwr.nici.kun.nl/unipen/.

being old requires installing other legacy software - expects tcl 7.6 , tk 4.2. how should approach this?

ps: achieve handwriting recognition goal, had tried use cellwriter http://risujin.org/cellwriter/, find annoying draw each letter in cell. feel writing on tablet should continuous, on paper.
