Photoshop unable to load presets......or required text resource.

running cs2 on windows xp machine. loaded software , tried running it. received multiple error messages saying, "could not load default brushes because file not found". received errors swatches, gradients, contours, patterns, styles, system shapes, , tool presets. received error message "could not initiate photoshop because required text resources file missing".

i removed , reinstalled photoshop , still receiving error message. ideas on how correct problem?
